Downtown DC's Delicious Japanese Izakaya

In this multicultural city, we greatly appreciate constant exposure to global flavors. We enjoy savoring dishes and environments that whisk us away to exotic destinations, opening our minds (and palates) along the way. That's why we feel especially fortunate to have Zentan adjacent to us at The Kimpton Donovan Hotel. The culmination of the hotel’s smoldering magnetism, our recently refreshed restaurant offers authentic Japanese food designed for sharing, as well as a rich assortment of unique Japanese whiskys and sake. Hotel guests and locals gather around communal tables to experience the harmony of libations and food with a fun, modern twist. Selections include kushi from our custom-built robata grill or sushi prepared with fish selected that morning from Tskiji Market, all paired with a craft cocktail, glass of sake, or flight of Japanese whisky. We approach everything we do with verve, style, and impeccable precision. This, combined with the sensual decor and delectable fare created by renowned Chef Yo Matsuzaki, come together to offer a sophisticated experience that’s both beautiful and delicious.
